Take up space is a new course with three modules (over 20 lessons) working with all mediums including written content, activities, and video to unlearn any beleifs you currently have about your body that are getting in the way of you feeling peace, confident and powerful in your body. Take up space is a Health at Every SIze, Body positive, fat positive and non-diet based program.
How are we meant to heal our relationship with our body without understanding why this relationship was fractured in the first place? How are we meant to feel comfortable in relationships, in our boundaries, in our sex life, if we dont feel comfrtable in our body? Take up space addresses the reasons why we don't like our body, helps us unlearn and then relearn body acceptance, neutrality and respect.
These things are the building blocks for a solid foundation and happy relationship with our body. With this strong foundation we can build self-care practices that actually rejuvenate us, we can communicate what our boundaries are, what we’d like to explore etc.
This course is the first of its kind. It’s a blend of the usual body image work but also addresses social justice issues like fatphobia, sexism, misogyny, racism and heteronormativity. We also cover all the fun, pleasure filled stuff in our module “play”
